An interconnected formation of volcanic rocks shaped like a hill, approximately 20 meters high and 150 meters wide.
Subsequent activity is indicated by the quartz veins running through the rocks.
The large rocks belong to one of the granite families.
Vertical excavation:
The pencil is used for the geologists to observe the thickness of the quartz vein. This is a common practice for them, where they place a pencil or, near larger quartz veins, a geologist’s hammer alongside the vein.
